I
photograph for books, magazines, newspapers and private use in advertisements
and websites. Some of these images can be found in The Howell Book of Dogs,
Puppy Love, Browntrout Calendars, Dog Fancy magazine, Clean Run dog
agility, and Borderlines magazine. I can often offer discounted photography
to dog owners who bring a well-behaved and photogenic dog for a photo session
that yields material for publishng. In most cases, the dogs need to appear

Got
puppies? I love photographing litters of puppies! This darling foursome
recently appeared on the cover of Borderlines, the publication for the Border
Collie Society of America, and people are wondering where they came from.
While I wish I could say these were my breeding, I didn't figure out the
tricks to photographing groups of puppies until after my litters were raised
and placed. These cuties were bred by Karen Van Hoy at Zuki Border Collies.
Sire is Show Champion and World Champion Littlethorn Continental (UK), and
dam is Ch Tarrynden Starquest (Imp).
This
black and white image was nominated for two awards from the Dog Writers
Association of America in February, 2011, one for black and white photography
and one for the Maxwell Medallion for Excellence. The puppy is seven
weeks old in the image, happy to retrieve for the pleasure of working,
and this photo appeared on the cover of Borderlines Magazine
These
five Bloodhound puppies, pictured at three months old, are featured in
Liz Palika's book Puppy Love. It took an active crew of puppy wranglers
to keep them moving in the right direction, and it was exciting to see
how differently these scent hounds play, sniff, gallop, and rest.
The image won second place in the Dog Writers Association of America color
photography category in 2010.
